Government of Bangladesh is planning to install 1325 MW gas & dual fuel based combined cycle/peaking plant and 2000-2600 MW imported coal based steam plant by 2015 on BOO basis. Government also planned to install one LNG terminal near Chittagong (port city) to fuel future power plants by imported LNG.

Ministry of Power Energy and Mineral Resources (MPEMR) of Bangladesh Government will arrange Road Show Conferences in London, New York and Singapore on 15th, 17th and 21st December, 2009 respectively to explain Governments initiatives, incentives offerd to the sponsors and investment opportunity in Bangladesh.
